Frequently asked questions.
What is mixed-media?
Mixed-media refers to art that is created with more than one medium or material. While my work is mostly made up of acrylic paint, I often use a combination of collage, graphite, ink and pastel sticks. For me, this gives the work more depth and a sense of history.
What surface do you paint on?
I typically paint on wood panels but occasionally use canvas.
How are your paintings finished?
All pieces are finished with a satin UV varnish that protects the work. I like the satin finish as it brings out the colors and gives a smooth sheen. All paintings are wired and ready to hang.
Is your work framed?
It depends on the piece and this will be clearly stated in the description. Much of my larger work is on deep cradled wood panels which offer a contemporary look. I am happy to talk with you about framing options.
How long does a painting take to complete?
I wish I knew! Each one is unique and takes the time that it takes. Sometimes the work flows easily and the pieces come together quickly. Other pieces can take weeks or even months to feel complete.
Do you ship your work?
Yes, I can ship within the United States. Please email me for a shipping quote for a particular piece.
How can I find out about your latest work?
